Liver Function Tests

Liver function tests measure the amount of enzymes, protein, and other liver substances in the blood. It is a group of blood tests that checks the overall health and function of the liver which can help detect diseases or abnormalities. Liver function tests include alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase, total bilirubin, gamma-glutamyl transferase, albumin and total protein, and prothrombin time.
