RPR blood test

The RPR (Rapid Plasma Reagin) blood test is used to screen for syphilis, a sexually transmitted infection (STI). The test detects the presence of antibodies in the blood that are produced in response to the infection. If the RPR test result is positive, additional confirmatory tests, such as the treponemal antibody test, are usually performed to confirm the diagnosis.
