CEA Blood Test

The CEA (carcinoembryonic antigen) blood test measures the level of CEA in the bloodstream. CEA is a protein that is normally produced during fetal development but is typically found at very low levels in healthy adults. The CEA blood test is commonly used as a tumor marker to help diagnose and monitor certain types of cancers, particularly colorectal cancer.
